How To Get Here
Commercial Air
Visitors usually fly into either Ft Myers or Sarasota airports, both about 1 hour fifteen minutes from Boca Grande. There are a limited number of flights into Port Charlotte/Punta Gorda, approximately 30-45 minutes away. Tampa is about a 2 hour fifteen minute drive to Boca Grande.

From Sarasota and Points North:
Take I-75 South to exit 191 (River Road). Take a right off the exit ramp. Go approximately 5 miles to US 41, cross through the intersection and continue straight about 7 miles to 1st light at Winchester Blvd. Turn left onto Winchester and continue straight for approximately 4 miles until the first stop light. Go straight approximately 3 miles until road ends and turn left on Placida Road. Stay on Placida Road approximately 6 miles to Boca Grande Causeway stop light. Turn right on the Causeway to toll booth (pay $6.00). Continue approx. 6 miles to the 1st 4 way intersection. Continue straight 1/2 block. Gasparilla Outfitters/Special Effects is on your right.

From Ft. Myers and Points South:
Take I-75 North to exit 179 (Toledo Blade Road). Turn left off the exit ramp and go approx. 5 miles to US 41. Cross over US 41 and continue straight to State Road 776. Turn Right on SR 776. Go approximately 8 miles to stop light at Gasparilla Road, turn left onto Gasparilla Road. Go approx. 10 miles to stop light at Boca Grande Causeway. Turn left onto Causeway to toll booth (pay $4.00). Continue approx. 6 miles to the first 4 way intersection. Continue straight 1/2 block. Gasparilla Outfitters/Special Effects is on your right.

As you enter the downtown community, at first 4 way intersection, turn left onto 5th Street driving past the Gasparilla Inn on your left. Follow 5th street until it meets Bayou Avenue (90` turn). The docks are in the corner of that intersection on the left across from the Pink Elephant Restaurant.
To Whidden’s Marina:

At first 4 way intersection downtown, continue straight on Park Ave. to 1st Street where road ends. Turn left on 1st Street. Whidden’s Marina is the classic old marina on the right where 1st Street meets Bayou Avenue.
